With heavy hearts, the family announces the sudden passing of Dave at Ross Memorial Hospital with his brother by his side on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. He is survived by his brother Bob (Gloria) and sister Helen Parrott (Allan), his children Larry, Lynne and the late Arnold Wallace, his dog Tiny and his many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and friends. Dave is predeceased by his siblings Lawrence Wallace (surviving wife Patricia), Leonard Wallace (surviving wife Gwen), Evelyn Cottrell (John), Verna Bogle (surviving husband Norm) and Gord (Marilyn).
He found great joy in working with his hands and being outdoors, with a lifelong passion for gardening and landscaping. For more than 50 years, he dedicated himself to both truck driving and landscaping, building not only a career but a reputation for hard work, reliability, and pride in everything he did. He especially enjoyed antique cars and was truly a jack of all trades, always ready to fix, build, or lend a helping hand.
A deeply meaningful part of his life was his commitment to the Omemee AA Group, where he began his journey on February 17, 1976. He proudly celebrated his 50-year medallion, a milestone that reflected his strength, perseverance, and dedication. The program was his passion, and he found purpose in supporting and guiding others, offering compassion, understanding, and hope to all who crossed his path.
