Passed away at King City Lodge on Sunday April 26, 2026 at the age of 65 years. Loving partner of the late Ross Mills (d. 2016). Loved and missed by her nephew Alex Webb (Victoria Burden) of Fredericton, NB and their children Dominic and Malachy Webb and by her niece Melissa Rogers (Adam) of Paradise, NL and their children Eli and Amelia Rogers. Also lovingly remembered and never forgotten by her best friend Laura Allen (Chris). Predeceased by her sister Susan McDonald (Peter) of Quispamsis NB and by her parents Dennis and Jean Trowse, and several four-legged friends.
Christine will be remembered for her enormous heart, her unwavering positivity, and her remarkable ability to find joy in every circumstance. Her stubborn determination and bright outlook allowed her to live each day to the fullest throughout her long and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Born with a natural curiosity and a love for technology, Christine earned an Engineering Degree in Computer Science and began her adult life pursuing a career she was passionate about. She was diagnosed with MS in her early 30s, yet she refused to let the illness define her. Instead, she spent many years exploring, researching, educating others, and raising funds to support MS awareness and research.
Christine found deep peace in the outdoors. She loved sitting in the shade watching the birds, tending to her gardens on Conc. 5, soaking up the sun, and appreciating all of earth’s creatures. She had a lifelong love of motorcycles — riding her own whenever she could, and later, after losing her license, enjoying rides with Ross and attending races that brought her so much excitement.
Animals held a special place in her heart. Over the years she cared for several beloved pets, including Ben the Doberman, Brandi the Golden Retriever, and Foxy the Border Collie mix. Even the neighbors’ pets knew they were welcome to stop by for a little extra affection.
Travel was another joy in Christine’s life. She had a soft spot for Mexico but explored many places across North America and Europe. She cherished family trips, including camping adventures in provinces such as New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. Some of her happiest moments were spent around a bonfire, listening to rock and roll, and sharing stories from a life rich with memories.
Despite living with MS for decades and facing additional illnesses later in life, Christine’s positivity never wavered. Even after a stroke significantly affected her mobility, she remained cheerful and grateful. Her love of food was legendary — whether it was an Ice Cap from Tim Hortons, a Filet-O-Fish from McDonald’s or the cookies Wally brought her, she savored every bite as if it were the best thing in the world.
Christine truly knew how to celebrate the small things, and she taught everyone around her to do the same. Her strength, joy, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
