Our Sweet Caroline passed away peacefully with family at her side on October 17, 2023. She was predeceased by her adoring mother Paula Stefanik, and is survived by her father Alan (Janet); her siblings Christine (Kevin), Matthew (Cathy) and Andrew (Lisa), her stepbrother Ryan (Julia) and her nieces and nephews (Bridget, Benjamin, Charlie, & Julian).
From the moment she was born, her inner light seemed to shine. Everyone who met Caroline loved her instantaneously, and she brought enormous joy to her family, friends, those who supported her, and even strangers. Her loving spirit and beautiful smile will forever be remembered.
In her short life, Caroline attended several enriching schools and programs, including Our Lady of Sorrows, Bishop Allen Academy, Christian Horizons, Reena, A Helping Hand Always and finally at Participation House.
She also traveled extensively, enjoying many memorable trips with her loving family. Caroline was a great music lover, and many of her happiest times involved music and knew the lyrics of any song imaginable. She also loved chocolate in any form, whether it was chocolate milk, chocolate cake, smarties or Timbits.
The family would like to thank her caregiver Beck who was a huge support and dear friend to Caroline for many years. We also would like to thank the staff at Participation House and A Helping Hand Always for providing the support that Caroline needed as her rare BPAN diagnosis progressed.
They would also like to thank all of their family and friends for their support and prayers.
A small private ceremony will be held for Caroline at Low & Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge. A celebration of Caroline's life is planned January 7th, 2024 details TBA.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Caroline's memory be made to NBIA Disorders Association and Participation House.
"We love you Sweet Caroline, you will always remain in our hearts and your beautiful smile will never be forgotten."
