Passed away suddenly at home, doing what he loved to do on Saturday October 18, 2025 at the age of 74 years. Loved and remembered by his spouse Tanis Pottage and children Les (Erin), Bryan (Andrea), Sean, Brandon (Brittney), and Letitia (Darren). Grandpa is forever loved and remembered by his grandchildren Isla, Gwyneth, Samuel, Aurora, Luke, Tegan, Taylor, Cassidy, Ruth, Reese, Kahler, Logan and Joseph. Also loved and missed by his sisters Anne Bertrand (Gord), Gloria Simpson (Peter) and Jane Lloyd (Brian). Predeceased by his parents, Samuel Allan and Isabelle Smith.
Bruce spent his life farming the land his father and grandfather farmed. He was dedicated to his career at Green Tractors spending 58 years serving the agricultural community. He was always willing to lend a hand to family and friends. Bruce served as a 4H leader, member of the Sandford Cemetery Board, Uxbridge Steam Show Board and Uxbridge Fair Board. A gentle soul who will be missed by all who knew him.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at Low & Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street South, Uxbridge on Thursday, October 23, 2025 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. A funeral service to honour Bruce will be held in the funeral home Chapel on Friday October 24, 2025 at 11:00 AM. All are welcome to join the family for the interment at the Sandford Cemetery with a reception to follow at the farm of Heather and Michael Moore.
