Barbara Ann (Brent) Lane Obituary

Passed away peacefully at Port Perry Place on Monday April 6, 2026 at the age of 90 years.  Barb is predeceased by her loving husband Russell Lane.  She will be sadly missed by her brother Herb Brent (Velma), nieces Heather Diamond and Carolyn Kittle and by numerous nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her brother William Brent (Shirley) and sisters Evelyn Diamond (Frank) and Helen Duff (Gordon).

Barb began working at General Motors at just 16 years old and retired at the age of 50, reflecting a lifetime of dedication and hard work. She embraced life through many hobbies and passions, including gardening, shopping, playing bridge, and baking, as well as spending treasured time at her cottage and supporting Myrtle Church. Above all, Barb cherished time with her family and friends. She was someone you never forgot once you met her—smart, generous, and wonderfully quick-witted, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her.

A private family graveside ceremony at Prince Albert Pine Grove Cemetery has been entrusted to Low & Low Funeral Home, Port Perry Chapel.  In memory of Barb, and in lieu of flowers please consider a donation to a charity most meaningful to yourself.  Friends are invited to send condolences or make donations by visiting www.lowandlow.ca.
