(Arthur) Scott Hickling

Scott passed away suddenly, but peacefully, at Butternut Manor in Uxbridge, Ontario on Saturday, November 29th, 2025, in his 88th year. Scott was predeceased by his loving wife, Carol. He was the father of Todd (Rachel), Jill (Mike), and Trevor (Laury). Proud grandfather of Haley, Erin, Jackson, Colby, and Karter, and great-grandfather to Clifford, Arthur, and Gordon.

Scott and Carol had a wonderful life together and were married for 56 years. Known as the CS Duet, they did everything together. Hard work throughout their life allowed them to have a wonderful time enjoying partial retirement at their two favourite places, the “cottage” on Lake Simcoe and the “Florida Place” at Nettles Island, Florida.

Scott was truly a self-made man starting his own business around the age of 23 as a carpenter. Always ready to take on a new challenge, he transitioned his skills to building swimming pools in 1972 and this new venture became an immediate success. Carol added to this business by setting up a retail business to sell swimming pool products. Hickling Pools is still active under his son Trevor with thousands of satisfied customers.

Visitation will be held at Low and Low Funeral Home, located at 23 Main Street South in Uxbridge on Saturday, December 6th, 2025 from 1:00pm-3:00pm.  Funeral Service to honour his life will be held in the chapel at 3:00pm.  Please join the family for a time of fellowship and refreshments immediately following the service.
