Passed away peacefully on September 2, 2024.  Beloved wife of the late William (2012).  Loving mother of Diane (Jeno), Alan (Kathleen), Kent (Arlene) and the late Paul (1988).  Cherished G’ma of Jake (Alli), Jill, and Marie-Soleil.  Dear sister of Bill (Jane), Rodney (Sharon), and the late Laina and Dorothy.  Aila will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family and numerous friends.

Aila was passionate and loving about her family, and was a fierce champion of her grandchildren (at sporting events, and most notably at the hockey rink)!  Aila lit up every room she entered, and was known for her always sunny nature and cheerful sense of humor.  A long-time resident of Ajax, and during her retirement years, Port Perry, Aila spent much of her time volunteering, and giving to others and her community. 

As per Aila’s wishes, she will be laid to rest in Haliburton with a private family ceremony.  Arrangements entrusted to Low & Low Limited, Port Perry.
