Agnes "Ruth" Jones

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Ruth surrounded by her family on Thursday, May 08, 2025 at the age of 86. Born in Ellesmere, Ontario she was one of seven children born to David and Isabel Lackey.

Known for her courage and determination, her love of travel, reading, card playing and the devoted love for her family she will be missed by all that knew her.

Loving mother to Lorna Waters (Glenn), Doug (Tammie), Owen (predeceased) and Lynal (Andrea). Cherished Grandma to ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Survived by sister Betty and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Wong for all her care and support and the staff at Uxbridge Cottage Hospital for making her final days respectful and comfortable.

Cremation has taken place, and a private family service will we held. A reception to celebrate Ruth's life and share memories will take place at the Uxbridge Seniors Centre, 75 Marietta Street, Uxbridge on Saturday June 14, 2025 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm.  Memorial donations may be made to the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital.
