Agnes "Nan" Judges Obituary

With great sadness, we announce the sudden, yet peaceful passing of Nan Judges, 80, who passed away surrounded by loved ones on July 19th, 2022 in her home town of Port Perry. Nan was born in Paisley, Scotland, on October 26th, 1941.

She left behind her loving husband Barry. Nan met Barry in 1967 when on holiday in Canada. After returning to Scotland the following year, their relationship developed and Nan immigrated to Canada in 1969. They married in 1971 and their journey began.

As a mother, Nan was loving, kind, supportive and an incredible role model to her daughters Kim (Wayne) and Ann (Calum). Nan had four beautiful grandchildren that she adored immensely. James, Jennifer, David and Una. She was a dear sister to Edward (deceased), Janette (Nick-deceased) and Ebeth (Ian). She was also a cherished daughter in law to Helmut.

Nan was an incredible, strong woman. She was the best mother, wife, daughter and sister. She was selfless and loyal and liked nothing better than spending time with her family. Her grandchildren brought her great joy and unconditional love. They meant the world to her.

Nan worked for the Durham District School Board for most of her working career. She found great satisfaction in her work and was dedicated to meeting the needs of all the children she worked with.

Nan was an active member of the seniors’ group in Port Perry. She made many true friends that enhanced her life. She enjoyed her line dancing classes and coffee meet ups afterwards. Everyone loved her quick wit and sense of humour.

Nan touched the hearts of everyone who knew her. She will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.

As per Nan’s request, no funeral or memorial service will be held. (A small service with immediate family.) Arrangements entrusted to Low and Low Funeral Home, 1763 Reach Street, Port Perry (905-985-7331).

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
